Blue Day before a New Year.

This year,  in order to usher in the New Year, we decided to have some fun at the beach and then relax at home just the four of us. The weather today was absolutely perfect. It was not too chilly, nor was it too hot. It was oh so blue. Carolina Blue.  It was a beautiful quiet day at the beach, just me, my surfer and our two monkeys saying goodbye to 2009.

So what do you do on a quiet beach with two monkeys? Well you try to keep up for one and not break your camera. Especially since they are…

Running…

Jumping…

Climbing…

and… what in the world? Is that…nah, no way?!

Yep…that would be my surfer crawling out from under the rocks. Or should I say ” The Monkey Leader” :)

One little…

Two little… monkeys down in a hole.

Only my guys would find tunnels to crawl around in :) It was definitely a game of follow the leader.

When they were done spelunking in the rocks, they were on to waves.

Poseidon has nothing on these two.

Well sometimes… Poseidon has his revenge. Wet, sandy shoes just TICKLE me.

It’s all good, we can just take them off.

I just love these three monkeys and look forward to every new year with them.

Even if they are just too goofy for words.

The resolutions are made. The parties and gatherings are underway. The Hoppin John and collards are ready for tomorrow. I would just like to say from my family to yours…
