Good morning guys!
I was wondering if you would like to take a little stroll with me this morning? You see now that it’s warming up here a little I’m actually venturing outside a bit more. I know, I know some of y’all live in areas with winter climates that are extremely colder than our mild winters here in the south but you’re forgetting something. Southerners have thin blood and when you have hydro-glow skin like me your blood count drops down to nonexistent. Don’t laugh too hard, I don’t have to worry about mosquitoes or vampires like you warm blooded, pigment privileged people do.
About two blocks from where I work happens to be one of my favorite spots to go and relax. We usually come here with friends to enjoy some delicious seafood…or steak (I hear you fish phobs) at one of the restaurants along the water. With it being so close now to where I work along with the lovely shift in weather, it has recently become my morning spot to relax before I start my day. Why don’t you guys pour yourselves a cup of coffee and come take a walk along the marina with me today?
Dining al fresco is always a treat, to bad they aren’t open for breakfast. Then again it’s just you, me and the seagulls enjoying the serenity this morning. I’ve always found something light and peaceful with the solitude of early morning.
See the fishermen are already out on the water and everyone else is still asleep, it’s all ours. Shhh…don’t wake anyone just yet.
You’ve gotta love cute little bridges and detours across wobbly docks adding a bit of whimsy to the morning.
Here we are at the end of the dock. To the left is the bridge that will take you over to the beach…
And to your right is more of the intercoastal waterway along with a couple of little barrier islands, one of which happens to be a favorite surf spot of my love.
Ahh… a comfy seat perfect for kicking up our heels, sipping our coffee, munching on a scone and taking in the view.
Life doesn’t get any better than this my friends. I’m so very glad that you guys came with me this morning for a stroll along the water. Here’s to nature and her boundless beauty, serene mornings and wonderful friends. I hope that y’all have a great day.
Xoxo,
Tickled Red

Love the stroll, Thank you ! I so needed a daily dose of the beautiful coast. You are so lucky to be just 2 blocks from that. I would go there everyday too! We will be heading your way hopefully in a few weeks, maybe for just the day but 8 hours on the beach suits me just fine. Great post!
Absolutely beautiful scenery!
Thank you for the stroll…much better weather than what I had for my stroll here in northern Nevada! :)
ps: who you calling a fish phob?! :P
You just don’t know what these pictures do to me. I can smell the air; feel the salt water…and I sometimes think I’m over North Carolina. Obviously not.
How sweet of you to take me a long for a stroll this morning. I do love the serenity of early mornings. Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Seems to be my boat in your last picture – haa haa, can you imagine!
:-) Mandy
