Thanks…Giving… a perspective.

A haze on the far horizon,

The infinite tender sky,

The ripe, rich tints of the cornfields,

And the wild geese sailing high;

And all over the upland and lowland

The charm of the goldenrod,-

Some of us call it Autumn,

and others call it God.

-William Herbert Carruth

I know that I am usually cracking a joke or two, but I wanted to take just a moment to say how so very thankful I am for the life that I have. Even in these times that are difficult and challenging, I would not trade places with anyone else. Life to me is the people that you are blessed to share it with, to be connected to. I am so very blessed. I love my family so much, each and every one of them. From the north to south. From the east to the west. From the mountains to the coasts. They are all special to my heart. Last but not least, I am also very thankful for our second family out there, our friends. I am just as blessed for y’all as well.

Although, not to in anyway diminish how thankful I am for y’all, but these guys are the absolute main two reasons that I am so very, very thankful…

My Monkeys’, my sun and moon. My eternal, endless twin pools of joyous bliss and love. Darn monkey heads :) they just TICKLE me to no end.

Oh and I can’t forget the big kid…

I just love this picture. You are mine all mine tough guy, and I am the most blessed woman out there because of the three of you.

So I would just like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. This is such a wonderful holiday where we can get together with extended family be lazy, share traditions and enjoy scrumptious food. Reach out to the ones we are missing, who can not be with us in person, but are always with us in spirit. I hope that you have the best time today in your kitchen, watching the parade, dog show (my two favs’) and ball games.

You had better leave the table plump :) worry about the Buns of Steel work out tomorrow, Jillian is not hiding behind a bush to drag you off to the Biggest Losers boot camp. If she is, hit her over the head with your cast iron skillet, leave her a salad for when she wakes up and get back to pouring the gravy over your mashed taters and stuffing. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

Enjoy :)

Thankful that through all these years of babies, jobs, different lives and social circles…you & I have maintained a special bond of sisterhood and friendship. I know we could live a continent apart and our souls still share that connective thread. Wishing you beautiful blessings today and always!
